The rumor is spreading to a double amount of people each time and started with only one person.
On the first day, two people knew it. 2¹ = 2
On the second day, four people knew it. 2² = 4
On the third day, eight people knew it. 2³ = 8
On the nth day, the people that will know it = 2ⁿ
Thus, on the eighth day: 2⁸ = 256 people will know it

Can someone please help me with this
omeli [17]

Answers:

  • x = 3
  • CD = 21
  • DE = 16
  • CE = 21

=============================================================

Explanation:

The congruent base angles are D and E. Opposite those angles are the sides CE and CD. These opposite sides are the same length.

CE = CD

16x-27 = 4x+9

16x-4x = 9+27

12x = 36

x = 36/12

x = 3

This x value then leads to the following:

  • CD = 4x+9 = 4*3+9 = 12+9 = 21
  • DE = 7x-5 = 7*3-5 = 21-5 = 16
  • CE = 16x-27 = 16*3-27 = 48-27 = 21

We see that CD and CE are both 21 units long, which helps confirm we have the correct x value.

A blueprint shows the mater bedroom to be 5 inches long and 3 inches wide. The scale on the blueprint is 2 in : 11 ft. What is t
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

453.75 sq. feet

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we are going to calculate the area of a room given the blue print measurement and the actual measurements with the answer being in the actual measurement.

To correctly do this, it is best if the measurements are converted to the actual.

The measurements we’ll be trying to convert is 5 inches by 3 inches with a scale of 2in to 11ft ( same as 1 in to 5.5 ft)

The 5 inches blueprint measurement will be 5 * 5.5 = 27.5 ft

The 3 inches blueprint measurement will be 3 * 5.5 = 16.5 ft

The area in sq. feet will be length * width = 27.5 * 16.5 = 453.75 sq feet

Which graph represents the function?
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

The last one.

Step-by-step explanation:

The solutions with the horizontal lines are wrong because then h(x) would be -1 and 1 respectively.

The subtlety is in the open or closed dot. x ≥ -1 means that -1 is included, which is drawn as a closed dot. x < -1 means that -1 is excluded, which is drawn as an open dot.

Hence the last graph is the correct one.
