Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(-4,-8)...x = -4 and y = -8

slope = 3/2

in y = mx + b form, the m is ur slope

now sub ur info into y = mx + b......we need to find b, the y intercept

y = mx + b

-8 = 3/2(-4) + b

-8 = -6 + b

-8 + 6 = b

-2 = b

so ur equation is : y = 3/2x - 2.....but u need it in another form

y = 3/2x - 2.....subtract 3/2x from both sides

-3/2x + y = -2 ....then u can multiply by -2 and get 3x - 2y = 4....just in case u dont want fractions

Factor out the GCF: 16x + 48
valentinak56 [21]

Answer: 16(x + 3)

Step-by-step explanation: When you're asked to a polynomial, the first thing you want to look for is the greatest common factor between the terms that are involved.

So what is the greatest common factor of 16x and 48?

The greatest common factor of 16x and 48 is 16 because

it's the largest number that divides evenly into 16 and 48.

The x does not qualify because it must appear in every term

to qualify for the GCF but here, it only appears in one term.

So a 16 factors out leaving us with each term divided by it

inside a set of parentheses so w eget 16(x + 3).

Notice that if we distributed the 16 through both terms,

we would end up with our original polynomial.

i need help with my math :( im horrable with it i cant do divideing fractions nor multiply and i dont know most of my multiples
vladimir1956 [14]

Step-by-step explanation:

To multiply the fractions, like

\frac{1}{4}  \times  \frac{1}{9}

Multiply the top,

then multiply the bottom.

\frac{1}{4}  \times  \frac{1}{9}  =  \frac{1 \times 1}{4 \times 9}  =  \frac{1}{36}

Try to use a calculator if you aren't arithmetic heavy, but I suggest you to try to remember them because they are going to be helpful for courses like Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, etc.

To divide fractions, like

\frac{ \frac{1}{5} }{ \frac{1}{8} }

You take the top number,

\frac{1}{5}

Then you flip the bottom number,

\frac{8}{1}

Then multiply the two

\frac{1}{5}  \times  \frac{8}{1}  =  \frac{8}{5}

And that is your answer. Comment if you need more clarification
