A quadrilateral is any figure with 4 sides, no matter what the lengths of
the sides or the sizes of the angles are ... just as long as it has four straight
sides that meet and close it up.

Once you start imposing some special requirements on the lengths of
the sides,  or their relationship to each other, or the size of the angles,
you start making special kinds of quadrilaterals, that have special names.

The simplest requirement of all is that there must be one pair of sides that
are parallel to each other.  That makes a quadrilateral called a 'trapezoid'.
That's why a quadrilateral is not always a trapezoid.

Here are some other, more strict requirements, that make other special
quadrilaterals:

-- Two pairs of parallel sides . . . . 'parallelogram'

-- Two pairs of parallel sides
AND all angles the same size . . . . 'rectangle'
           (also a special kind of parallelogram)

-- Two pairs of parallel sides
AND all sides the same length . . . 'rhombus'
           (also a special kind of parallelogram)

-- Two pairs of parallel sides
AND all sides the same length
AND all angles the same size . . . . 'square'.
           (also a special kind of parallelogram, rectangle, and rhombus)

Question 1 (10 points)
Irina18 [472]

Answer:

Q1 d, Q2 c, Q3 d

Step-by-step explanation:

Q1

g(x)=-3x+1

g(x)=16 means that

-3x+1=16 subtract 1 from both sides

-3x=16-1 combine like terms and divide both sides by -3

x=-15/3=-5

Q2

g(x)=3x²+4x-1

g(2) means that x=2 so substitute

g(2)=3*2²+4*2-1=12+8-1=19

Q3

domain are the x values

range are the y values

Mr. Drysdale earned 906.25 in interest in one year on money that he had deposited in
VikaD [51]

Answer: Mr Drysdale deposited 14,500

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the simple Interest formula

Simple Interest = Principal(Initial Money) * Interest Rate * Time Period

I = P*R*T

I = PRT

To get P which is the initial money he deposited, we divide both sides by RT

I/RT = PRT/RT

I/RT = P

Therefore the money deposited

P = I/RT

Interest (I)= 906.25

Interest Rate (R)= 6.25% = { converting percentage to decimal} (6.25/100)= 0.0625

Time Period (T) = 1 year

Principal (P)= ?

P= I/RT

P= 906.25/(0.0625 * 1)

P= 906.25/0.0625

P= 1450

The money he deposited in his local bank is 14,500
