To find the difference, subtract Thea's earnings from Hadley's earnings.

81-27=54

Thea earned $54 more than Hadley.

Thea earned 3 times more money than Hadley, that is because

27 x 3 = 81

27 is the money Hadley earned and 81 is the money Thea earned

C. 3 is your answer

Caitlyn’s family has a circular swimming pool. The circumference of the pool is 25.12m What is its area?
Natasha2012 [34]

Answer:

A = 50.26 sq meters

Step-by-step explanation:

we have to find the diameter first by using the circumference:

C = πd

25.12 = πd

25.12/π = d

8 = d

this means the radius is 4

A = πr²

A = π4² or 16π

A = 50.26 sq meters

H(x) = 5.7 −19x<br><br> A. <br> -127.3<br> B. <br> -138.7<br> C. <br> 0.67<br> D. <br> 138.7
Vilka [71]

Answer:

x = 0.3 (see below)

Find the x intercept/zero.

To find x intercept/zero, subsitute H (x) = 0.

0 = 5.7 - 19x

Move the variable to the left hand side and change the symbol.

19x = 5.7

Now, divide both sides.

x = 0.3

Solution is 0.3

Alternate solution is x = 3/10.

Hope it helps!

Number the tables as follows:

1  2
3  4

Eliminate 3 and 4 immediately, because for x = 2 the y values are wrong (3 and 1).

In tables 1 and 2, the input (1) produces the correct output (-1).

So we have to determine which table agrees 100% with the system of equations given.

Comparing tables 1 and 2, row by row, we see that their contents are the same EXCEPT for the first rows.  So focus on determing which of those 2 rows displays values that satisfy both given equations.

First I looked at y=2x-5, and subst. -1 for x.  I got -7, which is correct in table 1 but not in table 2 (where the value would be -13).

Thus, table 1 correct represents the solution of the system of equations.

How to write all real numbers in set notation?
laila [671]
Hi, this is the notation for inclusion of all real numbers.

x \in \mathbb{R}

We can also state numbers which are positive or negative with a sign on top of the R notation like so:

x \in \mathbb{R}^{+} \text{ or } x \in \mathbb{R}^{-}
