Anytime you see the little 2 outside of the parenthesis that means you have to write out the equation twice. Then you have to distribute. If you don't know how to distribute you just have to multiply the number outside of the parenthesis to the ones that are inside then if there are like terms you would have to combine them which means you will add up the numbers that are the same.
