Congress went from most powerful to increasingly deferential to the white house in the:
den301095 [7]

During the middle of the twentieth century, congress became the most deferential to the white house.

The United States Congress comprises most of the legislative branch. The role of this entity is to represent the citizens and create the laws. Moreover, Congress is divided into:

  • The house of representatives
  • The Senate

Throughout history, the United States Congress was one of the most powerful entities in government, this is because during important events such as the independence, the gilded era, the Great depression, etc. the congress had a great influence on the laws of the nation.

Later, during the middle of the twentieth century, Congress underwent important changes in its structure. This cause citizens to have more control over the congress and the congress to become a deferential institution, this means congress needed to represent and respect citizens' will.

Why are authoritarian and totalitarian systems considered unlimited governments? A) Those systems protect indivdiual freedoms. B
ycow [4]

The right anser is B, The government leaders have absolute power. Since there is no branch watching the other branches, there are no legal systems or mechanisms to keep leaders "in check"; thus, leaders allow themselves to do as they please without any limitations, regardless they may have been chosen by an election (e.g., the current government in Venezuela, which was initially elected by an election but later took full power and changed every single legal way to prevent governments to stay forever or respect the citizen's basic rights).

What are the advantages and disadvantages of legalising baby bins?
yan [13]
There are ADVANTAGE of legalizing baby bins or baby hatches which are typically used to leave the newborn babies by their parent who do not want them for certain reasons and abandon them there.
This can save many lives of the newborns as the other way people might choose is killing the babies or abandoning them at places where no one might ever find them.
The baby left there will have a positive opportunity to flourish in the society unlike the one left at street as the hatches are monitored by law.

There can be some DISADVANTAGES as well to the scheme as it might help promote immoral behaviors in society. A key factor in stopping immoral activities is the fear of society, and baby bins remove that fear. Another risk can be of an increasing tendency of rapes where people might think its OK to give birth to children and then leave them to baby bins.
