Answer:

He have made 1300 tortillas

Step-by-step explanation:

∵ A tortilla maker takes 30 minutes to produce = 100 tortillas

∴ He produces tortilla in one hour = 200 tortillas

Now calculate the time of his work.

He works from 9 am to 5 pm (17.00 hrs.)

total time of his work = 17:00 - 9:00

                                   = 8 hours

He takes a break of 1 hour for lunch and two 15 minutes short break.

total time of break = 60 + 15 + 15 = 90 min ≈ 1.5 hours

His working hours = 8 - 1.5 = 6.5 hours

He produced tortilla in 6.5 hours = 200 × 6.5

                                                       = 1300 tortillas

He have made 1300 tortillas

Prove that using: X ∩ (Y ∪ Z ) =(X∩Y) ∪ (Y ∩ Z )
sertanlavr [38]

There should be a typo in the question: the correct formula would be

X\cap(Y\cup Z)=(X\cap Y)\cup (X\cap Z)

Let's compute X\cap (Y\cup Z) first. We have

(Y\cup Z)=\{1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9\}

If we intersect this set with X, we have

X\cap (Y\cup Z) = \{5, 8, 9\}

So, that would be the left hand side. For the right hand side, we have

X\cap Y = \{8\},\quad X\cap Z = \{5,9\}

And their union is again \{5,8,9\}
