Answer:

16.68 m/s

Explanation:

The following data were obtained from the question:

Height (h) = 14.2 m

Initial Velocity (u) = 0 m/s

Final velocity (v) =?

Thus, the velocity (v) with which the ball hit the ground can be obtained as follow:

v² = u² + 2gh

NOTE: the acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s²

v² = u² + 2gh

v² = 0² + 2 × 9.8 × 14.2

v² = 0 + 278.32

v² = 278.32

Take the square root of both side

v = √278.32

v = 16.68 m/s

Therefore, the velocity with which the ball hit the ground is 16.68 m/s

Water could be made to boil lower than its normal boiling point of 100 degrees Celsius at 92 degrees Celsius by?
KonstantinChe [14]
Water could be made to boil lower than its normal boiling point of 100 degrees Celsius at 92 degrees Celsius by lowering the atmosphere or external  pressure.

The boiling point is the temperature at which the vapor pressure of liquid equals the external or atmosphere pressure.

So, if you decrease the external pressure the temperature needed for the liquid reach the lower external pressure is also lower..

You can accomplish by taking the water to higher levels in the Earth (atmosphere pressure at high altitudes is lower than at sea level) or by creating vaccum.

Exactly 313.5 J will raise the temperature of 10.0 g of a metal from 25.0 C to 60.0 C. What is the specific heat of the metal?
torisob [31]
From the equation Q = m\cdot c_e\cdot \Delta T we can clear specific heat:

c_e = \frac{Q}{m\cdot \Delta T}\ \to\ c_e = \frac{313.5\ J}{10\ g\cdot (60 - 25)^\circ C} = \bf 0.896\frac{J}{g\cdot ^\circ C}

Select all that apply which of the following actions are permitted in balancing a chemical equation?
Annette [7]

When all coefficients are multiplied by a single factor, The following actions are allowed while balancing a chemical equation: adding coefficients in front of reactant and product formulations.

<h3>How can chemical equations maintain balance?</h3>

Equal numbers and types of each atom appear on both sides of balanced chemical equations . Coefficients in a balanced equation must be the simplest whole number ratio. Chemical processes always retain mass.

<h3>What is a simple chemical equation?</h3>

A chemical equation is a symbol- and formula-based symbolic representation of a chemical reaction, with the reactant entities supplied on the left side and the product entities given on the right.
