Answer:

The correct answer is letter A. My friend, Greg, likes to bake cookies for the people in the office.

Explanation:

What we have in this sentence is an appositive, a word or phrase immediately following and renaming another word or phase. Our appositive here is "Greg", which is renaming the noun "friend". Since "Greg" is only giving additional but not essential information, it could easily be removed from the sentence. Notice how the sentence would still make sense: " My friend likes to bake cookies for the people in the office." Since this appositive is not a restrictive one, it should be framed by commas. That is why the best option is letter A.

Answer:

The correct answer is option C

Explanation:

A sentence resembles a Christmas present: Get together is constantly required. Luckily, the directions are fairly fundamental. Each sentence must have at any rate a subjectand a predicate. The subject is the focusof the sentence; it is the whoor the whatthe sentence is about. The predicate depicts the sub-ject; it clarifies what the subject is or what the subject is doing.

The finished thought is known as a statement, and it is thebuilding square of all sentences. First, you need to know these terms:

✓Independent clause:a provision that communicates a total thought.➞Monica strolled on the grass.

✓Dependent (subordinate) clause:a proviso that doesn't communicate a total thought.➞Though it was wet

✓A finished thought➞Though it was wet, Monica strolled on the grass.

✓Essential clause:a subordinate condition that is important to the essential significance of the finished sentence.➞who are pregnantWomen who are pregnant can hunger for salty or sweet foods.

✓Nonessential clause:a subordinate statement that isn't important to the fundamental importance of the finished sentence.➞who snarls at whatever point the telephone rings. Elmo, who snarls at whatever point the telephone rings, attempted to assault the vacuum cleaner.

✓Phrase:a gathering of words that need either a subject or a predicate.➞In early spring In late-winter, I notice an adjustment in individuals' mentalities

Semenov [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

The world-renowned sea voyages of the early Ming dynasty ceased entirely when they lost their purpose. Zheng He led seven large-scale voyages within a very short period because he had an additional political purpose: to search for the Jian Wen emperor, Zhu Yunjiu (1377-1402).How much benefit did the Ming receive from Zheng He's trips? The Yongle emperor sent Zheng He on voyages to impose imperial control over foreign trade with China. They also sent him to show foreign countries the power of the Ming Dynasty was. They created new trade with the new world and brought back foreign treasures.

Please help with this
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

So the way I am answering this is by categorizing that

The Theme is more the message the author is giving the reader while Subject is more the matter of what something is about.

For example, the Subject is more related to a topic while the Theme is always, to a point, asking the author what is he/she trying to say with or through the subject.

A subject is sometimes being used figuratively to create a meaningful analogy or allegory of some sort.

All this while Theme is more of a notation.

Anyway: here is your answer:

☞In the Subject (more specific) category; This is what goes,

• Evil people do bad things.

• A friend is someone you know well.

• Rain has many important purposes.

☞In the Theme (the idea) category; This is what goes,

• It is important to value friendships.

• The truth will always be revealed.

• Good will always conquer evil.

If I made a mistake, I apologize. I tried my best to help you.
