Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:   x - 90, y = 43

Discussion:

The triangles are congruent by the SAS theorem. (In left triangle, side = AB, angle = y; other side = AD). Because of congruence,  angle ADC = x and (x + x = 180) as BDC is a straight line. So 2x = 180,or x = 90.

In the leftmost triangle : y + angle B +  angle x = 180 as the sum of all angles in a plane triangle is 180 degrees. But angle B = angle C  = 47 degrees as triangle  ABC is isosceles.  Putting this all together:

y + angle B +  angle x = 180  =>

y + 47 + x = 180  =>

y + 47 + 90 = 180  =>

y + 137 = 180 =>

y = 180 - 137 =  43

Thank you,

MrB

How too work this out
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

x = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{7 + 2x}{3} = 5

Multiply both sides of the equation by 3

7 + 2x = 15

Subtract 7 from both sides of the equation

2x = 8

Divide both sides of the equation by 2

x = 4

Hope this helps :)

331 students went on a field trip. six buses were filled and 7 students traveled in cars. How many were in each bus? Write an eq
mart [117]
So this problem would be written as this(:

so you start with 331 students together, but then you lose 7 who travel in the cars.

331-7=324

then it would be 324 divided by the 6 buses. that would look like this

324/6
that equals 54.
so in conclusion the answer is 54 students went into each bus:) hope that helps you!

Brooklyn and her friends went into a grocery store and they want to buy some apples and peaches. Each apple costs $1.75 and each
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

A. $11.75

B. $1.75x + $1.00y = c (cost)

Step-by-step explanation:

A. Because apples cost $1.75 each you could multiply the amount of apples you intent to buy by $1.75 which in this case the amount of apples wanted is  3. $1.75 x 5 = $8.75. You would do the same thing for the peaches except the amount per peach is different. $1.00 x 3 = $3. Then you would add the two amounts together to get the amount Brooklyn and her friend would have to pay. $8.75 + $3 = 11.75

B. Because you multiply the amount of items you intend to get by the cost per item the equation you would follow if the amount of items changed would be. $1.75x + $1.00y = c (cost)

Hope this helps!

Good luck!!
