What is the difference between an orbital and a sublevel

Chemistry

Answer:

Here's what I get

Explanation:

An orbital is a region in space where an orbital is most likely to be found. It has a specific size, shape, and energy level, depending on its set of quantum numbers.

For example, the order of increasing orbital energies is n = 1, 2, 3, …. Orbitals with the same principal quantum number (n) belong to the same energy level.

Orbitals in energy levels with n > 1 can be divided into groups depending on their secondary quantum number (l).

For example, the n=3 energy level consists of 10 orbitals — one s, three p, and five d orbitals. the s, p, and d orbitals constitute three sublevels with slightly different energies in the n = 3 energy level.

HELP!! Which statement best describes the weather shown by the blue triangles on a line on a weather map? A. a warm front drizzl
babunello [35]

The answer is; B

The tip of the blue triangles points to the direction in which the cold front is moving. Also, note that the blue color represents a cold front (as opposed to a red color that represents warm front). A cold front occurs when a cooler air mass wedges down and replaces, at ground level, the rising warm air mass. The boundary between the two air masses exhibits cooling moisture that forms clouds and thunderstorms.

How many grams of nh3 can be produced from 4.08 mol of n2 and excess h2. express your answer numerically in grams?
Lunna [17]
The reaction of N2 and H2 to generate NH3 is as follows:N2 + 3H2 ⇒2NH3

Since H2 is in excess amount in this reaction, the determine factor is N2. The ratio of N2 and product NH3 is 1:2. Therefore, 4.08 moles of N2 can generate 4.08*2 = 8.16 mole of NH3.

Grams of NH3 = moles of NH3 * molar mass of NH3 = 8.16 mole * 17 g/mole = 139 g.

139 grams of nh3 can be produced from 4.08 mol of n2 and excess h2.

A researcher accidentally spilled some sand into his beaker containing crystalline compound X. Knowing what he did about melting
skad [1K]

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

If we look at the structure of X, we will discover that X is an organic compound. The compound will certainly have a much lower melting point than sand.

This is because, sand is composed of high melting point inorganic materials.

Hence, even though the researcher accidentally spilled some sand into the the beaker containing the crystalline substance X, he does not need to be perturbed since the melting point of X is much lower than that of sand

Which set of work should be used to solve the following problem?
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

C. 65.5 g PF3 x (1 mole / 87.97 g PF3)

Explanation:

Dimensional analysis can be used to find the amount of moles in 65.5 grams of PF3 gas.

First we would need to determine relevant conversions.

We would need to find the molar mass of PF3 which is already given ( 87.97 g / mol )

So 1 mole of PF3 = 87.97g

From there we can create the dimensional analysis table which will look something like the attached image.

This table correspond with answer choice C.

Reasons it's not the other answer choices.

It wouldn't be A because the units must cancel out and they don't as grams is being multiplied by grams

It would be B because it doesn't use correct units.

There are not 87.97 moles in 1 gram of PF3. There are 87.97 grams in 1 mole of PF3
