equation csn be represented as

money left = 500 - (n-1)×4.65

so we can see in first week money left

= 500 - (1-1)×4.65= 500-0=500

which is true because first week chaya got gift card and does not spend any money.

now lets assume that on week n money left is 327.95

so by equation

500 -(n-1)×4.65 = 327.95

500- 327.95 =( n-1)× 4.65

n -1 = 172.05/4.65=37

n = 37+1 = 38

in 38th week money left would be 327.95

Answer:

  x = -3, 0, or 7

Step-by-step explanation:

After removing common factors, the remaining quadratic can be factored by comparison to the factored form of a quadratic.

__

<h3>Step 1</h3>

Write the equation in standard form.

  4x³ -16x² -84x = 0

<h3>Step 2</h3>

Factor out the common factor from all terms.

  = 4x(x² -4x -21) = 0

<h3>Step 3</h3>

Compare to the factored form of a quadratic:

  (x +a)(x +b) = x² +(a+b)x +ab

This tells you the constants 'a' and 'b' in the factors can be found by considering ...

  (a+b) = -4 . . . . the coefficient of the x term of the quadratic

  ab = -21 . . . . . the constant term of the quadratic

It is often helpful to list factor pairs of the constant:

  -21 = (-21)(1) = (-7)(3) . . . . integer pairs that have a negative sum

The sums of these pairs are -20 and -4. We are interested in the latter. We can choose ...

  a = -7, b = 3

<h3>Step 4</h3>

Put it all together.

  4x³ -16x² -84 = (4x)(x -7)(x +3) = 0 . . . . . factored form of the equation

<h3>Step 5</h3>

Apply the zero product rule. This rule tells you the product of factors will be zero when one or more of the factors is zero:

  4x = 0   ⇒   x = 0

  x -7 = 0   ⇒   x = 7

  x +3 = 0   ⇒   x = -3

Solutions to the equation are x ∈ {-3, 0, 7}.

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

What we did in Step 3 is sometimes referred to as the X-method of factoring a quadratic. The constant (ab product) is put at the top of the X, and the sum (a+b) is put at the bottom. The sides of the X are filled in with values that match the product and sum: -7 and 3. The method is modified slightly if the coefficient of x² is not 1.

A graphing calculator often provides a quick and easy method of finding the real zeros of a polynomial.

Suppose a simple random sample of size nequals81 is obtained from a population with mu equals 79 and sigma equals 18. (a) Descr
Daniel [21]

Answer:

(a) The sampling distribution of\overline{X} = Population mean = 79

(b)  P ( \overline{X} greater than 81.2 ) =  0.1357

(c) P (\overline{X} less than or equals 74.4 ) = .0107

(d) P (77.6 less than \overline{X} less than 83.2 ) = .7401

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

Sample size ( n ) = 81

Population mean (\nu) = 79

Standard deviation (\sigma ) = 18

(a) Describe the sampling distribution of \overline{X}

For large sample using central limit theorem

the sampling distribution of\overline{X} = Population mean = 79

(b) What is Upper P ( \overline{X} greater than 81.2 ) =

P(\overline{X}> 81.2)  = P(\frac{\overline{X} - \nu }{\frac{\sigma }{\sqrt{n}}}> \frac{81.2 - 79}{\frac{18}{\sqrt{81}}})

                    =  P(Z> 1.1)

                    = 1 - P(Z<   1.1)

                    = 1 - .8643 =

                    = 0.1357

(c) What is Upper P (\overline{X} less than or equals 74.4 ) =

P(\overline{X}\leq  74.4) = P(\frac{\overline{X} - \nu }{\frac{\sigma }{\sqrt{n}}}\leq  \frac{74.4- 79}{\frac{18}{\sqrt{81}}})

                    = P(Z\leq  -2.3)

                    = .0107

(d) What is Upper P (77.6 less than \overline{X} less than 83.2 ) =

P(77.6< \overline{X}<   83.2) = P(\frac{77.6- 79}{\frac{18}{\sqrt{81}}})< P(\frac{\overline{X} - \nu }{\frac{\sigma }{\sqrt{n}}}\leq  \frac{83.2- 79}{\frac{18}{\sqrt{81}}})

                                = P(- 0.7< Z<   2.1)

                                 = (Z<   2.1) - (Z<   -0.7)

                                  = 0.9821 - .2420

                                   = 0.7401

EastWind [94]

Answer:

Reliability

Step-by-step explanation:

The Reliability of a measurement or observation refers to its repeatability. If you measure or observe the same thing twice, how close are the two measurements or observations?

#The test results 110 1nd 150 are between 27% and 36% depending on which direction you take. That variation is wide apart and the test can't be considered reliable.
