Answer : option B

Given

f(x) = x - 6

g(x)= √x (x + 3)

We need to find g(x) * f(x)

( x - 6) * (x + 3) √x

we use FOIL method to multiply (x-6)(x+3)

(x^{2}  - 3x -18 ) * sqrt(x)

Now apply exponential property to multiply each terms with sqrt(x)

x^{2} times sqrt(x) becomes \[sqrt(x^5)\]

-3x times sqrt(x) becomes \[-3sqrt(x^3)\]

-18 times sqrt(x) becomes -18sqrt(x)

So final answer is B

\[sqrt(x^5)\] - \[3sqrt(x^3)\] -18sqrt(x)

Sara says, "If you subtract 14 from my number and multiply the difference by - 3, the result is – 42."
Oxana [17]

Answer:

Sara's number is 28

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assign Sara's number the variable x and solve this equation using the information provided.

"If you subtract 14 from my number"

x - 14

"and multiply the difference by - 3"

-3(x - 14)

"the result is – 42."

-3(x - 14) = -42

Now we can solve from here for x.

-3(x - 14) = -42

x - 14 = 14

x = 28

That would be m squared- 100. I don't exactly know where to go from here. There isn't really enough info for me to go on. Hopefully this helps a little.

Two trains leave the station at the same time, one heading east and the other west. The eastbound train travels at a rate of 65
koban [17]

Answer:

time = 1 hour 24 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Eastbound train travels at a rate of 65 miles per hour

Westbound train travels at a rate of 85 miles per hour

So speed = 65 + 85 = 150 miles per hour

Total distance = 210 miles

We have to find the time

We know that

Distance = time * speed

OR

time = distance / speed

time = 210/150

time = 1.4 hours

Or it can be written as:

time = 1 hour 24 minutes

i hope it will help you!
