Raymond’s Bake Shop sold 26/1/2 dozen cupcakes on Saturday. On Friday,
Lelechka [254]

Answer:percent increase in cupcake sales from Friday to Saturday= 34%

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1

Percent increase = Increase in cup cakes/ Old amount of cupcakes x100

Cupcakes sold on Friday = 19 3/4

Cupcakes sold on Saturday = 261/2

Increase in sales =26 1/2 -- 19 3/4 ( we will change to decmal for easy solving)

=26.5 - 19.75= 6.75 or 6 3/4

Step 2

Percentage increase = (6 3/4)/ (19 3/4)  x100

Percentage increase = 6.75/19.75 x 100

Percentage increase =0.341 x100 = 34%

A researcher took a random sample of 100 students from a large university. She computed a 95% confidence interval to estimate th
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

Part (A): The correct option is true.

Part (B): The null and alternative hypothesis should be:

H_o: \mu =0 ; H_a:\mu \neq0

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

Part (A)

A random sample of 100 students from a large university.

Increasing the sample size decreases the confidence intervals, as it increases the standard error.

If the researcher increase the sample size to 150 which is greater than 100 that will decrease the confidence intervals or the researcher could produce a narrower confidence interval.

Hence, the correct option is true.

Part (B)

The researcher wants to identify that whether there is any significant difference between the measurement of the blood pressure.

Therefore, the null and alternative hypothesis should be:

H_o: \mu =0 ; H_a:\mu \neq0

Given vectors A (2,-1,5), B (4,3,-2) & C (5,4,0), find:?
MrRissso [65]
A) 4a - 3b + 2c

4(2, -1, 5) - 3(4, 3 , -2) + 2(5, 4, 0) = (8, -4, 20) - (12, 9, - 6) + (10, 8, 0) =

= (8 - 12 + 10 , -4 - 9 + 8 , 20 + 6 + 0) = (6, - 5, 26)

Answer: (6, - 5, 26)

b) magnitude of vector b

\sqrt{4^2+3^2+(-2)^2} = \sqrt{16+9+4} = \sqrt{29} ~ 5.4

c) vector of length 7 parallel to vector c

=> m(5,4,0) = (5m,4m,0)

=>    \sqrt{(5m)^2+(4m)^2+0}= \sqrt{25m^2+16m^2}= \sqrt{41m^2}=m \sqrt{41}=7

=> m = 7 / √41 ≈ 1.093

=> 1.093 (5, 4, 0) = (5.465 , 4.372, 0)

Answer: (5.465 , 4.372 , 0)
