Is this image of cells considered to be going through apoptosis or prophase? It kind of looked like the DNA was separated a bit

to where it was forming into chromosomes, but wasn't sure since it kind of looked scattered like it was about to undergo apoptosis.
Also I thought that this is an image of 4 cells clumped together based on the 4 nucleolus that was in the clump. Is this considered to be one cell or 4?

(The image attached is a DAPI image of kidney cells. The blue coloring is DNA.)

You splice DNA fragments from a "foreign" source into the patient's gene so that the gene will begin manufacturing the enzyme. T
Arada [10]

Answer:

recombinant DNA

Explanation:

In molecular biology, recombinant DNA molecules are genetic sequences formed by combining DNA material from different sources (i.e., organisms, populations, species, etc). Proteins produced from DNA recombinant molecules are known as recombinant proteins. Molecular cloning is the most widely used technique in molecular biology in order to produce recombinant DNA molecules. In this technique, a cloning vector such as, for example, a plasmid of a bacterium, is used to insert a foreign DNA fragment into another cell which is then expressed in the host cell.

Explain what would happen if water did not expand when freezing. How would this impact aquatic life?
Lapatulllka [165]

Explanation:

If water did not expand when freezing, then it would be denser than liquid water when it froze; therefore it would sink and fill lakes or the ocean from bottom to top. Once the oceans filled with ice, life there would not be possible.
