Direct characterization refers to when an author directly states what a character is like. For example, he is bad/good/ugly/obnoxious, etc. The author is letting us know directly what the character looks like, behaves like, is like. This is opposite of indirect characterization, where we have to deduce what a character is like based on his or her actions, what other characters think about them, etc.

By specifically saying what the character is. For example, She is rude. If it is indirect it would say she copped an attitude at her brother and then cursed out her mother.

On a stage coach how long does it take to get from Richmond to Boston in 1800
NeTakaya
Answer: 111 hours or 4.625 days (not considering any time used to rest)

The equation to find time is:

Time= Distance/speed

A stagecoach travels at 5mph and there’s 555miles between Richmond and Boston

555miles is your distance and 5mph is your speed

Plug that in and you get:
555/5= 111

To get the amount of days that is, consider that there are 24 hours in a day then divide 111 by 24 to get:
111/24=4.625
