C= comcentration
V= volume
C1*V1=C2*V2
3.5M*225.mL = xM*750 mL
x=(3.5*225/750) =1.05M≈1.1M

Sloan [31]

Answer 1) : NaCl - Sodium chloride is an inorganic salt.

Explanation : There is no carbon present in this molecule so, it can be referred as inorganic substance. Sodium Chloride contain Sodium and Chloride ions, the absence of carbon atom in the molecule makes this substance inorganic.

Answer 2) Phenol C_{6}H_{6}O - Phenol is an organic moiety.

Explanation : The presence of carbon bonded with hydrogen and oxygen makes the phenol compound as organic substance. Carbon here is present in large amount and imparts the organic character in phenol.

Answer 3) C_{2}H_{6} - Ethane is an organic compound.

Explanation : Ethane is an organic compound which contains carbon in its molecule and is covalently bonded with hydrogens present in the molecule. The presence of carbon makes the molecule as organic substance.

Answer 4) Ca_{3}(PO_{4})_{2} - Inorganic compound.

Explanation : Calcium phosphate is an inorganic compound which does not contains carbon atom in its molecule. The absence of carbon atom makes the compound inorganic. This calcium phosphate molecule only contains the molecules of calcium and phosphate in it.

Answer 5) Formaldehyde CH_{2}O - It is an organic compound.]

Explanation : Formaldehyde contains one molecule of carbon and two molecules of hydrogen along with one molecule of oxygen in it. The presence of carbon covalently bonded with hydrogen and oxygen makes it as an organic compound.

Answer 6) MgCO_{3} - Magnesium carbonate is an inorganic compound.

Explanation : Magnesium carbonate is inorganic substance as it does not contains carbon in its molecule. It only contains the molecules of magnesium and carbonate in it, which qualifies it to be called as inorganic compound.

Answer 7) Vitamin D_{2} (C_{27}H_{40}O) - It is organic compound.

Explanation : Vitamin D_{2} (C_{27}H_{40}O) it contains 27 molecules of carbon atoms which are covalently bonded with 40 molecules of hydrogen and a molecule of oxygen in its structure. Therefore, it can be called as organic.

Answer 8) Mercury Sulfate HgS - Inorganic compound.

Explanation : Mercury sulfate does not contains carbon in its molecular structure, which makes it as inorganic compound. It only contains the molecules of mercury and sulfate ions.

Answer 9) Butane C_{4}H_{10} - Organic compound.

Explanation : Butane contains 4 molecules of carbon which is covalently bonded with 10 molecules of hydrogen. The presence of carbon in its molecular structure makes butane as an organic compound.

Answer 10) Sand SiO_{2} - Inorganic compound.

Explanation : Sand which has the molecular formula as SiO_{2} does not contains carbon atom in its molecule. It just contains the molecules of silicon and two molecules of oxygen in it.

Answer 11) Water H_{2}O - It is an inorganic compound.

Explanation : Water molecule does not contains carbon in its molecule therefore, it is an inorganic compound. It contains only two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of oxygen in it.

r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

the force acting on Jennifer is 180 N

Explanation:

The computation of the force acting on Jennifer is shown below:

As we know that

Force = mass × acceleration

= 60 kg × 3 m/s

=  180 N

hence, the force acting on Jennifer is 180 N

We simply applied the above formula
