Eva has borrowed 200 songs from her friend. She plans to download an equal number of songs on her music player each week for 5 w
Alenkasestr [34]

PART A)

The rate of change is -40 songs each week, because the amount of songs left to be downloaded decrease by 40 every week.

the initial value is 200 at 0 weeks, which means that there are 200 songs to be downloaded at the beginning

PART B)

calculate the slope:
m = (y2- y1)/(x2 - x1) = (160 - 200)/(1 - 0)
m = -40
now use the line equation in form of point-slope
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
y - 200 = -40(x - 0)
y = -40x + 200

Jack plotted the graph below to show the relationship between the temperature of his city and the number of ice cream cones he s
Inessa05 [86]

#1 There is a positive correlation between the temperature and the amount of ice cream sold. This means that as the temperature increases the amount of ice cream also increases.

#2 For the best fit you must calculate the slope between two points that are more-or-less representative of the entire graph. In this case it seems to have already done this with certain points so if you take the points (15,35) and (0,5) you can calculate the slope between these two points which is m=(35-5)/(15-0)=30/15=2. So the best fit slope for this particular case would be two and you would just draw a line through the graph at approximately the middle of the dots to best represent all of the data.

Find the exact value of x.
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

x = 4 sqrt(3)

Step-by-step explanation:

x is not to be confused by the mark on the right angle -- X

The function is the cosine of Y which is 30 degrees.

The cosine of 30o is sqrt(3)/2

cos(30) = adjacent side / hypotenuse = sqrt(3) / 2

The adjacent side is 6

cos(30) = 6/ x = sqrt(3) / 2

6/x = sqrt(3) / 2                      Cross multiply

x * sqrt(3) = 6 * 2

x * sqrt(3)  = 12                       divide by sqrt(3)

x = 12 / sqrt(3)                        Multiply top and bottom by sqrt(3)

x = 12* sqrt(3) / sqrt(3) * sqrt(3)

x = 12 sqrt(3)/ 3                      Divide by 3

x = 4 sqrt(3)
