Step-by-step explanation:

Im not sure if its supposed y = -2x + 1 or y = 2x + 1 but I'll solve the problem for both.

First for y = -2x + 1

Since the line has to be parallel to y = -2x + 1

the slopes would be the same.

so, so far the equation would be

y = -2x + b

now we substitute (5,2) into the equation

2 = -2(5) + b

2 = -10 + b (Add 10 to both sides of the equation)

+10 +10

12 = b

Now that we solved for b

The equation would be

y = -2x + 12

^^ This equation is parallel to y = -2x + 1

Now to solve for an equation parallel to y = 2x + 1

Both equations would have the same slope

So far we would have

y = 2x + b

Now we solve for be by substituting the point (5,2)

2 = 2(5) + b

2 = 10 + b (subtract 10 from both sides)

-10 -10

-8 = b

After solving for b

The equation is

y = 2x - 8

This equation is parallel to y = 2x + 1

Analyze the end behavior of both functions.
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

The end behaviour of all the functions is same ie they all tend to zero.

Step-by-step explanation:

In every option the function f(x)is a linear function which tends to infinity at the  end(as x tends to infinity).Now the function g(x)in every option is just the reciprocal of f(x).As we all know

\lim_{n \to \infty} f(x)=∞

then

\lim_{n \to \infty} 1/f(x)=0

Laura has $30 to spend on food for the week. Which inequality represents this? x < 30 x < 30 x > 30 x > 30
steposvetlana [31]

In the given question Laura has $30 to spend on food for the week.

According to the question we have to set the inequality between total amount and amount spent on food.

Amount spend by Laura on food for the week = $30

Let the amount spent by Laura on food be x

So she has to spend up to $30

So inequality will be x\leqslant 30

So option b is the answer

A geometric seqerence 1.5, -3, 6, -12 .... How many regative terms in the sequencs greater than
Leno4ka [110]

The total negative terms are 4 which are greater than -6000 if the geometric sequence 1.5, -3, 6, -12 ... with a common ratio -3.

<h3>What is a sequence?</h3>

It is defined as the systematic way of representing the data that follows a certain rule of arithmetic.

We have:

A geometric sequence 1.5, -3, 6, -12 ....

The common ratio r = -3/1.5 = -2

1.5, -3.6, 6, -12, 36, -108, 324, -972, 2916, -8748

The total negative terms = 4

Thus, the total negative terms are 4 which are greater than -6000 if the geometric sequence 1.5, -3, 6, -12 ... with a common ratio -3.
