Answer:

The next step is to subject the newborn to positive pressure ventilation with 21-30% oxygen concentration.

Explanation:

Critical to the successful resuscitation of the 34-week-old newborn is adequate pulmonary ventilation, causing the newborn's lungs to inflate, thereby dilating the pulmonary vasculature and appropriate hematosis.

After the initial resuscitation steps, pulmonary ventilation is the simplest, most important and effective procedure for resuscitation of the newborn in the delivery room.

For the effective use of positive pressure ventilation it is necessary to understand which supplemental oxygen concentration to be used, how to control the oxygen supply, what equipment is available for its effective performance and which technique is recommended. For babies aged 34 weeks oxygen concentration around 21 - 30% is recommended.

When there’s a lower-extremity injury, non-weight-bearing activities should be incorporated. Pool activities provide an excellent means for injury rehabilitation. Cycling also can positively stress the cardiorespiratory system. Of course, no activity should be undertaken without the approval of the medical staff.

3. Once an injury has healed, the goal is to stay healthy and prevent re-injury. However, to prevent re-injury, you have to understand why or how the injury occurred in the first place. If the injury occurred because of inadequate conditioning, then attention should be paid to more conditioning. If an injury occurred because of poor form, then the focus should be on improving and mastering the correct technique. If the injury occurred because the person has musculoskeletal problems, such as lowerextremity misalignments or congenital abnormalities, that weren’t appropriately supported through the use of braces or orthotics, then the use and condition of those devices should be evaluated. If an injury can’t be explained and seems to have “just happened,” then the person should continue with a maintenance rehabilitation program three days per week that includes exercises and activities that aided in his or her recovery and return to fitness.

lakkis [162]

Answer:

organ reserve

Explanation:

Organ reserve refers to the functional capacity of our organs to support life.

Our organs have normally the capacity that it takes to simply function when we are young. Factors that stress those organs, like illness or injury test the organs, but because they have substantial reserve, don’t tax their limits.

As we age, this reserve diminishes, and the organs become truly stressed by these same factors.

Your best friend Tommy moved to San Francisco last year. He is petrified of earthquakes. What advice can you offer?
Blizzard [7]

Natural disasters are really inevitable, no matter your location. Tommy could research and take the appropriate steps for an earthquake. Considering the severity of his fear, he could look into therapy or something to distract him from the thought of it.
