If a substance evaporates easily it is said to be volatile.

A substance is volatile when it get easily converted to gaseous form

It means it has low boiling point

it means it has weak inter molecular interactions

It would have been much better if you had shared some answers to pick the correct one. But I think my memory serves me well so I am pretty sure that If a substance evaporates easily, it is said to volatile. I bet it will coincide with your options which were given with the task.

3. What mass of copper could be deposited from a copper(II) Sulphate solution using a current of 5.0 A over 100 seconds? ( F =96
arsen [322]

Mass of copper : 0.165 g

Further explanation

Given

5.0 A over 100 seconds

Required

Mass of copper

Solution

Faraday's law:

The mass of the substance formed at each electrode is proportional to the electric current flowing in the electrolysis

\tt W=\dfrac{e.i.t}{96500}

e = Ar / valence = eqivalent weight

i = current

t = time

W = weight

CuSO₄ ----> Cu²⁺ + SO₄²⁻

Cu ----> Cu²⁺ + 2e

e = Ar/2

= 63,5/2 = 31,75

\tt W=\dfrac{31.75\times 5\times 100}{96500}=0.165~g

The table below provides some information about an unidentified element. Based on this information, the unidentified element is
Leona [35]

In the physical properties, it is mentioned that the element has 4 valence electrons. The elements in the periodic table are arranged such that, the number of valence electrons present in the neutral atoms belonging to a particular group is equal to the group number.

Thus, the unidentified element can be best classified as a nonmetal in period 4

The nuclear binding energy of one nitrogen-14 atom is (BLANK) x 10A J. Round to 3
d1i1m1o1n [39]

mass defect = mass of constituents - mass of atom

N has 7p and 9n

proton mass ~ 1.00728 amu

neutron mass ~ 1.00866 amu

electron mass ~ 0.000549 amu

Nitrogen mass ~ 14.003074 amu

mass defect = (7*1.00728)-(7*1.00866)-(7*0.000549) - 14.003074

= 0.11235amu

convert to energy, the binding energy = 1.68x10^-11 J
