The primary nursing intervention that will control swelling while treating musculoskeletal injury is?
Hunter-Best [27]

D. Elevate the affected area.

The therapy measures for musculoskeletal injuries may be remembered by using the acronym RICE, which stands for Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. Muscle, nerve, tendon, joint, cartilage, and spinal disc injuries and diseases are referred to as musculoskeletal disorders (MSD).

Rest encourages recovery and helps to stop further harm. During the first 24-48 hours following an accident, intermittently applying moist or dry cold packs for 20–30 minutes causes vasoconstriction, which lessens bleeding, edema, and pain.

Take precautions to prevent tissue and skin damage from extreme cold.  An elastic compression bandage supports the wounded tissues while controlling bleeding and edema. Swelling is controlled by elevation.

How does resistance training prevent osteoporosis?
Archy [21]
Resistance (strength) training prevents osteoporosis because it helps build strong bones which minimises the risk of fracture. This type of training uses free weights, stretchy bands, or your own body weight to build muscle and strengthen bones. This type of exercise helps “load” your bones, putting stress on them.
