To put an element on the periodic table you need to get the approval of many people and it could take a long time. they put it at the next number and currently there are 118 elements, if 119 was discovered it would be put with the elements it’s most like right after the highest number in that section of the periodic table. Non metals, Akali Metals, Transition Metals, Rare Earth Elements, Noble gases, Halogens, e.t.c. are all different sections on the periodic table.

What does a base release when it is placed in water?
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

D - Hydroxide Ion (OH-)

Explanation:

A base provides either hydroxide ions (OH–) or other negatively charged ions that combine with hydrogen ions, reducing their concentration in the solution and thereby raising the pH. In cases where the base releases hydroxide ions, these ions bind to free hydrogen ions, generating new water molecules.
