Answer:

b. When there is a lack of importance of the buyer to the supplier group

Explanation:

According to Porter there are five forces that can cause rivalry in a production industry. These are supplier power, threat of new entrants, buyer power, threat of substitutes, and degree of rivalry.

Supplier power is when suppliers are able to benefit from the producers by increasing prices of inputs and gaining some industry profit. Since suppliers supply input and labour to the producer they have a greater control of there is lack of importance of the buyer to the supplier group.

This means that the supplier group has more control on price and quality it supplies to the buyer with buyer having little choice but to buy.

If however buyer is more important to the supplier it means they can control price and quality of inputs

Nper = 2

PV = ?

PMT =  25000000 × 10% = 2500000

FV = 25000000

Rate = 8%

Now

Market value of the bonds be in two years is

= pv( 8%,2,2500000,25000000)

Countess Corp. is expected to pay an annual dividend of $4.57 on its common stock in one year. The current stock price is $73.59
Serjik [45]

Answer:

The cost of equity is 9.91%

Explanation:

The constant growth model of the DDM is used to calculate the price of the share or the fair value per share based on a constant growth in dividends and the required rate of return which is also known as cost of equity.

Plugging in the available values in the formual we can calculate the cost of equity or the required rate of return.

73.59 = 4.57 / (r - 0.037)

73.59 * (r - 0.037) = 4.57

73.59r - 2.72283 = 4.57

73.59r = 4.57 + 2.72283

r = 7.29283 / 73.59

r = 0.0991 or 9.91%

Bill has always taken his dry cleaning to Tom's Dry Cleaning, Inc. One morning while Bill is in a hurry, he walks in the door of
blondinia [14]

Answer: C. an implied contract.

Explanation:

An Implied Contract is one that arises as a result of the way one or both of the parties involved in the contract acts towards the other.

Unlike an Express Contract, it need not be written down but it does have the same legal weight and strength of a written contract.

The basic principle of this contract is that people should always be treated fairly in business transactions so the need to always pen it down is not necessary.

By walking in and leaving his clothes at the laundry, Bill got into an Implied Contract as it would be unfair for Tom to just clean his clothes with no payment.

Ronald suffers from dementia that impacts his brain function, but he also has healthy periods of time when his mind is fully fun
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

2. False

Explanation:

Capacity to a contract refers to whether the person to a contract is legally competent to enter into such a contract.

For instance, lunatics, drunkards, minors, criminals and person of unsound mind are deemed incapable of entering into a contract.

A person diagnosed with dementia, which impairs his decision making would normally be regarded as incapable to signing a contract.

But, capacity is ascertained as per the situation i.e at the time the contract is signed or entered into.

In the given case, Ronald entered a contract while he was sane and in healthy state of mind. His judgement at the time of entering such a contract wasn't impaired by dementia.

Thus, the contract will be legally enforceable as per the law.
