efficiency of the heat engine is calculated by the formula

\eta = 1- \frac{T_c}{T_h}

here we know that

T_c = cold temperature

T_h = hot temperature

now we will find the efficiency of all

1) for W

\eta_1 = 1- \frac{T_c}{T_h}

\eta_1 = 1- \frac{120}{620}

\eta_1 = 0.806

2) for X

\eta_2 = 1- \frac{T_c}{T_h}

\eta_2 = 1- \frac{100}{840}

\eta_2 = 0.88

3) For Y

\eta_3 = 1- \frac{T_c}{T_h}

\eta_3 = 1- \frac{300}{900}

\eta_2 = 0.67

4) for Z

\eta_4 = 1- \frac{T_c}{T_h}

\eta_4 = 1- \frac{25}{500}

\eta_4 = 0.95

So here most efficient engine is Z and least is Y

so we can arrange it as

Z > X > W > Y

so 3rd option is correct here

A rock drops from a height of 60 m. how long does it take for it to hit the ground
Svet_ta [14]
Here, Apply 2nd equation of the Kinematics :
S = ut + 1/2 at²
Here, s = 60 m
u = 0   [ free fall ]
a = 9.8 m/s²  [ constant value for Earth system ]

Substitute their values,
60 = 0*t + 1/2 * 9.8 * t²
120 = 9.8t²
t² = 120 / 9.8
t = √12.24
t = 3.50 s

In short, Your Answer would be 3.50 seconds

Hope this helps!

A weight of 200 n is hung from a spring with a spring constant of 2500 n/m and lowered slowly. How much will the spring stretch?
melisa1 [442]

The length by which the spring got stretched will be 0.08 m. The force is directly propotional to the distance by which the spring stretched.

<h3>What is spring force?</h3>

The force required to extend or compress a spring by some distance scales linearly with respect to that distance is known as the spring force. Its formula is

F = kx

The given data in the problem is;

F is the spring force =200

K is the spring constant= 2500 N/m

x is the length by which spring got stretched =?

The stretch of the spring is found as;

\rm F=kx \\\\ x = \frac{F}{k} \\\\\ x= \frac{200}{2500} \\\\ x=0.08 \ m

Hence the length by which the spring got stretched will be 0.08 m.

How does weak background radiation coming from every direction in the sky support the big bang theory
postnew [5]

Answer:

Option 1

It provides evidence of universe expansion

Explanation:

The Big Bang Theory actually explains the universe as originating from a single point, which expanded as billions of years went by.

The background radiation supports this theory in the sense that if the universe is expanding, this means that the universe is cooling and continuously losing heat, which results in background radiation

A man started at his house and went to the post office, then to the pet store, and finally home again. What is the average veloc
docker41 [41]

Answer:

0

Explanation:

Defining velocity :

Velocity is a vector which is the ratio of a person's total displacement with time.

Displacement, in simple terms refers to the distance between an individual's initial position to his final position.

Man's initial position = House

After all his navigation and points covered irrespective of the distance ;

Final position = House

Hence, we can conclude that the man's Displacement is ;

Final position - Initial position = 0

Hence,

Velocity = Displacement / time taken

Velocity = 0 / 3

Velocity = 0
