Dana buys dress shirts from a clothing manufacturer for s dollars each, and then sells the dress shirts in her retail clothing s
nydimaria [60]

Answer:

Consider the complete question is,

Dana buys dress shirts from a clothing manufacturer for s dollars each, and then sells the dress in her retail clothing store at a 35% markup

a. Write the markup as a decimal

b. write an expression for the retail price

c. What is the retail price of a dress shirt that Dana purchased for 32.00

d. How much was added to the original price of the dress shirt?

Reference : brainly.com/question/2202598

Solution :

Here, s represents the price of each dress shirt,

a. Since, markup percentage = 35%,

Thus, the markup in each shirt = 35% of price of each dress shirt

= 35% of s

=\frac{35s}{100}

= 0.35s

b. Retail price = original price + markup

= s + 0.35s

= 1.35s

c. if s = 32,

Retail price = 1.35(32) = 43.2

d. The added amount in original price = Retail price - original price

= 43.2 - 32

= 11.2
