Define commercial unit of energy

Physics
1 answer:

The commercial unit of energy is given as kWh  or kilo-watt-hour.

It is defined as the work done at a rate of 1000 Watt in a time of one hour.

there are other units of energy also like joules, calories but they are not big enough to express large quantity of energy. that is why we use kWh as the commercial unit since it is bigger compared to other energy units.

how does a particle differ from its anti-particle? it has opposite mass. it has opposite charge. its wave-function is the opposi
FromTheMoon [43]

An antiparticle is a subatomic particle that, by definition, has the same mass as its normal particle counterpart but the opposite magnetic moment and electric charge. An electron's antiparticle, for instance, is the positron.

The mass of an antiparticle is equal to that of the particle version, but it has the opposite charge. Antiparticles have opposite charges, baryon numbers, lepton numbers, and strangeness. A subatomic particle known as an antiparticle has the same mass as a particle of regular matter but the opposite electric charge and magnetic moment. Thus, the positron (a positively charged electron) is the opposite of the negatively charged electron.

A 22kg box slides down a 30.0 degree incline. If there is no friction, what is the acceleration of the box?
Rashid [163]

Answer:

Acceleration of the box is 4.9 m/s².

Explanation:

The free body diagram is shown below.

The weight of the body can be resolved into two mutually perpendicular components as shown. The force responsible for sliding motion of the box along the incline is due to mg\sin \theta acting along the incline.

Therefore, as per Newton's second law of motion,

Net force = mass\times acceleration

Now, net force acting along the incline is only mg\sin \theta

Therefore,

mg\sin \theta=ma\\a=g\sin \theta

Now, g=9.8\textrm{ and } \theta = 30

Therefore, the acceleration of the box is given as:

a=9.8\times \sin(30)=9.8\times 0.5=4.9\textrm{ }m/s^{2}

Acceleration of the box is 4.9 m/s².

What is the difference in light that is refracted compared to light that is reflected? Think in terms of speed of light as well
Ber [7]

Answer:

The refracted light wave is bent at an angle while the reflected light wave is bounced back either at 90° or at angle less than 180°.

The refracted light wave changes its speed when it moves from one medium to another based on the density of the medium.

The reflected light does not change its speed once it contacts another medium. It just bounces back with the same speed.
