Hey user!!!

first, we will find the distance between airport and origin then we will double it and we'll get the distance between airport and warehouse.

by Pythagoras theorem :-

let base be = 42 ( as given on abscissa )

and perpendicular be = 56 ( as given on ordinate )

hypotenuse is the distance between the airport and the origin.

therefore h² = 42² + 56²

=> h² = 1764 + 3136

=> h² = 4900

=> h = √4900

=> h = 70

hence, distance between airport and warehouse = 70 × 2 = 140 miles

now, it's given that the factory is 112 miles away from the warehouse in North.

hence, total distance travelled by the truck = 140 + 112

= 252 miles

correct option is 252 miles.

cheers!!!

The factory is 112 miles North of the warehouse. North and South is the Y axis.

The warehouse is located at Y -56, add 112 to that and Y = positive 56, so the factory is located at Y = 56.

Using the distance formula we can find the distance between the warehouse and the airport:

Distance = SQRT( (x2-x1)^2 + (Y2-y1)^2)

Ware house X = 42, Y = -56

Airport X = -42, Y = 56

Distance = SQRT (( -42 - 42)^2 + (56 - -56)^2) = 140 miles

The factory is on X 42, Y 56, which is the same Y value as the airport, so the distance between the airport and the factory is the change in X

-42 to 0 = 42 and 0 to 42 = 42, 42+ 42 = 84 miles.

Total distance = 140 + 84 = 224 miles.

Answer:

PQ=30

Step-by-step explanation:

Knowing that the segment has 3 parts that are 3:1:1 and sum up to 50, you could find how much 1 would equal by finding the total in relation to the ratio (doing 3+1+1) which gets you 5 parts. Then you can divide the total (50) by 5 to figure out how much one part would equal (10). Now, since you know that 1 part is equal to 10 and that PQ is 3 parts, you can find that PQ is equal to 3x10, or 30.

ahrayia [7]

A stem and leaf plot (histogram) shows the mode as the longest list of "leaves." It is the easiest to use for finding mode.

A box-and-whisker plot tells you nothing about relative frequencies.

A scatter plot or line graph would require careful re-interpretation to determine the mode. If the amount of data is large and there are many data values with about the same high frequency, these charts may be unhelpful, too.
