Answer:

It will cost $27300 to cover the field with grass

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- The field shaped rectangle with dimensions 81 and 117 meters

- The field with covered by grass

- The pallets of the grass covering 90 yard²

- The cost of the pallet is $210

* At first lets change the dimensions of the field from meter to yard

∵ 1 yard = 0.9 meter ⇒ multiply both sides by 10

∴ 10 yards = 9 meters ⇒ divide both sides by 9

∴ 1 meter = 10/9 yards

∵ The dimensions of the field are 81 and 117 meters

∴ 81 × 10/9 = 90 yards

∴ 117 × 10/9 = 130 yards

- Remember that the area of the rectangle = length × width

∵ The dimensions of the field are 90 and 130 yards

∴ The area of the field = 90 × 130 = 11700 yards²

- Lets find the number of pallets which uses to cover the field by

divide the area of the field by the area covering by one pallet

∵ The pallet covering 90 yards²

∴ The number of pallets = 11700 ÷ 90 = 130 pallets

- You need 130 pallets to cover the field

∵ The cost of one pallet is $210

∴ The cost to cover the field = 130 × 210 = $27300

* It will cost $27300 to cover the field with grass

madreJ [45]
Given that μ=0, and σ=1, P(z>c)=0.1093
thus
P(z<c)=1-0.1093=0.8907
hence the value of c will be:
z-score=(c-μ)/σ
thus
1.23=(c-0)/1
c=1.23

Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

No. Lauren cannot buy the shirt. It costs $48 after the discount.

Step-by-step explanation:

Shirt Cost: $80

Money: $35

Discount: 40%

First, find the amount of the discount by finding 40% of the price. 40% is equal to 0.40 (or 40 divided by 100).

40% of $80 = 0.40 x 80 = $32

Since it's a discount, the final price is the original price minus the discount.

$80 - $32 = $48

So, after a 40% discount, the price is still $48. Lauren only has $35, so it will still be too expensive!
