What are the limitations of correlational research?
Leno4ka [110]

Explanation:

Limitations of Correlations

Correlation is not and cannot be taken to imply causation. Even if there is a very strong association between two variables we cannot assume that one causes the other. For example suppose we found a positive correlation between watching violence on T.V. and violent behavior in adolescence.

An important limitation of correlational research designs is that they cannot be used to draw conclusions about the causal relationships among the measured variables. Consider, for instance, a researcher who has hypothesized that viewing violent behavior will cause increased aggressive play in children

Which muscles move without conscious control?
voluntary or involuntary
ra1l [238]

I believe the correct answer is involuntary

Explanation

The human body has 2 groups of muscles; voluntary and involuntary that are divided into 3 types of muscles: Cardiac muscles found only in the heart, smooth muscles found in hollow organs and also internal organs and skeletal muscles that support the human skeleton and also protect organs. An example is the thigh muscle. Of the muscles, Cardiac muscles and smooth muscles are completely involuntary in addition to diaphragm which is a skeletal muscle.

Further Explanation

1. Cardiac Muscle

The cardiac muscle is found only in the heart and is controlled by the brain only. It is the reason why your heart beats without your control. The part of the brain responsible for this control is a region called pons in the hind brain. It is an involuntary muscle. It also is different in structure to all the other types of muscles.

2. Smooth muscles

These are muscles found in organs and also lining of some organs such as blood vessels and the bronchioles. They also form organs such as the liver, lungs and uterus. They are involuntary muscles that are under the control of the brain and perform functions such as breathing and regulation of body temperature and blood pressure.

3. Skeletal muscles

This is the most common type of muscle and is found in almost everywhere you touch for example the thighs, arms, legs, head, chest. They are tough muscles that coordinate to help the skeleton in movement, protect internal organs and also link up body parts. You can control them and they are voluntary. For example, when you stand up you use your skeletal muscles.

I believe you should take a year off and do every prereq you can get at a local college or university. a way to check that would be to go on a computer and pull up the local college, and the college you set your mind to long term. so for instance LTC (long term college) may have a prereq Bio 213 and maybe you LC (local college) has a Bio 217. you would call the LTC and say hey, does your Bio 213 line up with LC Bio 217. Most of the time they will say yes. It saves a LOT of money.

Hi Ace22704,

Answer - natural observation

I think this experimental method is a better option because its in a natural environment where the kids dont know whats happening unlike the suveys where you ask them questions which is probably a bad idea because they might feel scared and just change their minds.
