Length x width is the formula.
so 18 x 18 for 7.
22 x 24 for 8.
and 8 would probably be 5 x 5 to equal 20. so the length and width would be 5 and 5 because 20 is the area

Use the diagram below to answer questions 1-6. All rooms are rectangular. 1. What is the value of side A? Explain your thinking.
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) A = x

Flower garden is in rectangular shape. In rectangle, opposite sides are equal.

2) The entire garden is in rectangular shape. In rectangle, opposite sides are equal.

B + x+ 4 = 10x + 6

Take x and 4 to other side to find the value of B. When taking to other side of equal to sign, the sign of x and 4 will change

B = 10x + 6 - x  - 4

B = 10x - x + 6 - 4   {Combine like terms}

B = 9x + 2

3)  C + x -2 = 5x -3

   C = 5x - 3 - x  +2

C = 5x -x - 3 + 2

C = 4x - 1

4) Area of Vegetable garden = length * width

                                                = (5x - 3) * (9x + 2)

Use FOIL method

                                               = 5x *9x  + 5x*2  + (-3)*9x + (-3)*2

                                                = 45x²  + 10x - 27x - 6

                                                = 45x² - 17x - 6

A random sample of 500 reports an average yearly income of $42,000 with a standard deviation of $1000. An estimate of the parame
Lorico [155]

Answer:

E

Step-by-step explanation:

Confidence Interval = mean + or - error margin

Mean = 42,000, error margin = width of estimate of the parameter ÷ 2 = 175 ÷ 2 = 87.50

We can be 95% confident that the population mean is 42,000 plus or minus 87.50

what is unitary method?

It is a method where we find the value of a single unit from the value of multiple units and the value of multiple units from the value of a single unit.

There are two situation in Unitary method:

There are 5 ice-creams. 5 ice-creams cost $125.

Step 1: Let’s find the cost of 1 ice cream. In order to do that, divide the total cost of ice-creams by the total number of ice-creams. The cost of 1 ice-cream = Total cost of ice-creams/Total number of ice-creams = 125/5 = 25. Therefore, the cost of 1 ice cream is $25.

Step 2: To find the cost of 3 ice-creams, multiply the cost of 1 ice cream by the number of ice-creams. The cost of 3 ice-creams is cost of 1 ice-cream × number of ice-creams = 25 × 3 = $75. Finally, we have the cost of 3 ice-creams i.e. $75.

Given:

If she had 12 quarters, then

12 * .25 = $3 ( quarters)

4 * .05 = $.2 ( in nickels)

Hence, she have 12 quarters.
