43/10 - 12/5x + 11/2 = 1/2(-18/5x + 6/5)

Do the stuff in parentheses first

43/10 - 12/5x + 11/2 = -9/5x + 3/5

Now we have to isolate the everything with an x in ine side, and the stuff without x (the variable) on the other

Do this by adding 12/5x to both sides of the equation to switch the -12/5x to the right side

43/10 - 12/5x + 12/5x + 11/2= -9/5x + 3/5 + 12/5x

43/10 + 11/2 = -9/5x + 3/5 + 12/5x

98/10 = 3/5x + 3/5

Now subtract both sides by 3/5 to switch the 3/5 to the left side

98/10 - 3/5 = 3/5x + 3/5 - 3/5

98/10 - 6/10 = 3/5x

3/5x = 92/10

Now divide both sides by 3/5

3/5x÷3/5 = 92/10 ÷ 3/5

x = (92×5)/(10×3)

x = 92/6

hope it helps, I double checked, it is correct.

just let me know uf you have any questions :)

John has a job selling souvenirs on a football stadium. He earns $10 per game plus $0.25 dollars for each souvenir he sells. How
Ahat [919]

Answer:

He needs to sell 100 souvenirs

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to know the number of souveniers John has to sell

Let the number of souveniers he sold at the game be s

At a rate of $0.25 per souvenier, the amount earned on souveniers for s souveniers will be:

0.25 \times s =0.25s

Now, if we added this to the amount he earns per game, we will have the total $35 earned for working at one game.

Thus, mathematically:

0.25s + 10 = 35 \\ 0.25s = 35 - 10 \\ 0.25s = 25 \\ s = \frac{25}{0.25} \\ s = 100

Paula is now four times the age of Lynn Lynn will be 16 in 10 years how old was Paula four years ago show your work
Dovator [93]
Greetings!

"<span>Paula is now four times the age of Lynn. Lynn will be 16 in 10 years. How old was Paula four years ago?"

If Lynn will turn sixteen in ten years, she must be 6 at the current moment:
16-10=6

Since Paula is 4 times the age of Lynn, Paula must be:
6(4)
=24

24-4
=20

Paula was 20 years old, 4 years ago.

Hope this helps.
