Solve 3x2 + 4x = 2. TEACH me how to solve this.. I know what to do once I have it in the right forum... but I do not understand
sertanlavr [38]
So if it is 3x^2+4x=2 then
set one side to zero
subtract 2 from both sides
3x^2+4x-2=0
this is not factorable by normal means so use quadratic formula which is if you have the equation in ax^2+bx+c=0 form you can solve for x if you put it into this equation quadratic formula x=\frac{-b+ \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a} or \frac{-b- \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a} so if you were to input it into this equation you would get
a=3
b=4
c=-2

the solution is x= \frac{-2+ \sqrt{10} }{3} or \frac{-2- \sqrt{10} }{3}
the answer is  C

a(t)=(t−k)(t−3)(t−6)(t+3) is a polynomial function of tt, where kk is a constant. Given that a(2)=0a(2)=0, what is the absolute
Crank

Since a(2)=0, we know that t-2 must be a factor of a(t), so k=2. Then the zeros of a(t) are t=2,3,6,-3, and their product is -108, whose absolute value is 108.

What is the approximate diameter of a tire that will make 775 complete rotations in one mile? (Note: there are 5280 feet
GalinKa [24]

Answer:

About 2.17 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let <em>d</em> represent the diameter of the tire.

Then the circumference of the tire will be:

C=d\pi

So, the tire will travel dπ miles after one rotation.

After 775 rotations, the total miles traveled should be 5280 feet. Thus:

775(d\pi)=5280

Solve for <em>d:</em>

<em />\displaystyle d=\frac{5280}{775\pi}<em />

Approximate:

d=2.1686...\approx2.17

The circumference of the tire should be about 2.17 feet.
