In this equation, n = # of sides
Area = n * (side length)² / 4*tan (180 / n)
Area = 5 * 4² / 4 * tan (36)
Area = 80 / 4 * 0.72654
<span><span><span>Area = 80 / 2.90616 </span> </span> </span>
Area =  <span> <span> <span> 27.5277341922 </span> </span> </span>

A fair die with sides numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 is to be rolled until a number greater than 4 first appears. what is the pro
AnnyKZ [126]
First two rolls have to be 1-4 that is 2/3 chance twice and the third can be 4or 5
2/3*2/3*1/3 + the chance that the fourth is the 5 or 6.
2/3*2/3*2/3*1/3

So the solution is : P=2/3*2/3*1/3 + 2/3*2/3*2/3*1/3

ABC is an isosceles triangle in which AC =BC.
aev [14]

Given:

ABC is an isosceles triangle in which AC =BC.

D and E are points on BC and AC such that CE=CD.

To prove:

Triangle ACD and BCE are congruent.

Solution:

In triangle ACD and BCE,

AC=BC                  (Given)

AC\cong BC

\angle C\cong m\angle C                  (Common angle)

CD=CE                  (Given)

CD\cong CE

In triangles ACD and BCE two corresponding sides and one included angle are congruent. So, the triangles are congruent by SAS congruence postulate.

\Delta ACD\cong \Delta BCE           (SAS congruence postulate)

Hence proved.
