Question: The question is incomplete. The spectrum was not added to the question. Find attached of the spectrum

Answer:

(A)

(i)  1s²   2s²   2p⁶   3s²    3p⁶    4s²

(ii) Calcium

(B) Wavelength = 2.03*10^-7 m

Explanation:

A)

(i)  from the spectrum, the electron configuration can be written as;

1s²   2s²   2p⁶   3s²    3p⁶    4s²

(ii) from the electron configuration, the element has 20 number of electron.

Therefore, the element is calcium.

(b)Calculating the wavelength using he formula;

λ = h*c/ΔE

where;

h = 6.626*10^-34

c = 3*10^8

ΔE = 0.980*10^-18

Substituting , we have;

λ = h*c/ΔE

  = (6.626*10^-34 *  3*10^8)/ 0.980*10^-18

  = 1.9878*10^-25/0.980*10^-18

  = 2.03*10^-7 m

The distance from the star to the Earth

Explanation:

The absolute brightness of a star is a measure of the intrinsec luminosity of the star, i.e. it does not depend on the distance of the star from the Earth.

In other word, the absolute brightness is a measure of the luminosity of a star if all stars were placed at the same distance from Earth.

On the other hand, the relative brightness of a star is a measure of its luminosity as observed on Earth, therefore it does depend on the distance of the star from the Earth: the farther the star is, the more its luminosity will decrease, and vice-versa.

The star's absolute brightness, therefore, depends only on the characteristics of the star itself, namely:

- The absolute magnitude of the star

- The rate at which the star produces energy via nuclear fusion

- The rate at which the star releases energy via electromagnetic radiation

Therefore, the only factor that does NOT change if the absolute brightness of a star changes is

- The distance from the star to the Earth

To what final concentration of NH3 must a solution be adjusted to just dissolve 0.060 mol of NiC2O4 (Ksp = 4×10−10) in 1.0 L of
ololo11 [35]
Given:
0.060 mol of NiC2O4
Ksp = 4 x 10⁻¹⁰
1.0 L of solution
Kf of Ni(NH3)6 2⁺ = 1.2 x 10⁹
NiC2O4 + 6NH3 ⇋ Ni(NH3)6 2+ + 2O4 2-
NiC2O4 ⇋ Ni 2+ + C2O4 2- ...Ksp
Ni2+ + 6NH3 ⇋ Ni(NH3)6 2+...Kf

Ksp * Kf = (4 x 10⁻¹⁰) * (1.2 x 10⁹) = 0.48

K = 0.48 = [Ni(NH3)6 2+][C2O4 2-] / [NH3]⁶
0.48 = (0.060)² / [NH3]⁶ ... (dissolved C2O4 2- = 0.060M)
[NH3]⁶ = (0.060)² / 0.48 = 0.0036 / 0.48 = 0.0075
NH3 = ⁶√0.0075

NH3 = 0.44 M

What is significant about the temperature absolute zero?
Reptile [31]

Explanation:

The absolute temperature is the lowest possible temperature in the universe. At this temperature, all atoms become motionless and cease to move.

The value of the absolute zero is pegged at -273.16°C.

  • It is the lowest limit of the coldness of a body.
  • Nothing can be colder than a body at absolute temperature.
  • Many researches are underway to take advantage of this temperature value for scientific purpose.
  • Thermodynamically, all process stops at this temperature.
  • When a body is brought close a body at absolute zero, it can suffer cryogenic burn due to heat transfer.
