How do I identify sample, independent and dependent variables?
Mamont248 [21]
A sample is a random, unbiased selection out of a larger group. An independent variable is one that is changed as to see how it will affect the dependent variable in an experiment.
Hope that helped.

Did earth experience normal or reverse polarity 1.5 million years ago
azamat

Normal polarity

Explanation:

Earth's magnetic field used to be twice as strong 1.5 billion years ago as it is today and Earth's temperature other than what the geologists see from the 'normal' pattern. It has been noticed that some volcanic rocks were magnetized in opposite direction to the direction of the local Earth's field. It is clear that the Earth has experienced the normal polarity 1.5 years ago but at that time, the Earth's polarity was poorly understood.

The drug cytochalasin B blocks the function of actin. Which of the following aspects of the cell cycle would be most disrupted b
Sladkaya [172]

The correct answer is: E) cleavage furrow formation and cytokinesis

Cytochalasin B (cytos-cell and chalasis-relaxation) is a molecule which inhibit network formation by actin filaments by blocking monomer addition. As a result, itshortens actin filaments. This molecule is involved in cytoplasmic division where it blocks the formation of contractile microfilaments. One of the microfilament’s function includes cytokinesis and formation of cleavage furrow so these functions are affected by cytochalasin B.
