I believe the answer is: focus attention on behavioural variation

If we observe closely, the way people behave to fulfill their sexual desire differ from one another. For example, some people could only obtain sexual fulfilment if they are engaged with multiple partner, while the others could only obtain fulfilment if they manage to find one true partner for the rest of their life.

vlabodo [156]

The correct answer is A) Did the researches tried to find any common factor in its subjects that would influence both hours spent sitting and the likelihood of developing diabetes?

The other options of the question are B) Who pay for this research and what possible motivations would they have to skew the results in a way that would benefit them? C) What are the average mortality rates associated with diabetes and does this risk offset the benefits of sitting comfortably at work? D) How did the researchers measure how many hours the subject sits per day and what qualifies as an official diabetes diagnosis?

A new high-profile study reports a strong connection between how long people sit every day and how likely they are to develop diabetes. The question that best represents a critical examination of the research is " Did the researches tried to find any common factor in its subjects that would influence both hours spent sitting and the likelihood of developing diabetes?"

A critical examination is the kind of evaluation approach that uses a systemathic and logical way to understand the phenomenon at study. The issue is studied in a systematic way to analyze the content and the variables in order to find the best alternative for the solution. That is why the question "A" best represents critical examination.

Who may regulate a natural monopoly?
Scilla [17]

The correct answer is C.

A natural monopoly is a market situation in which a single firm serves the whole market, therefore it is the only producer of a certain good or service, due to the fact that there exist some natural conditions which establish huge barriers for new competitors entering in the market, in the sense of extremely large fixed costs.

In such a case there is no market competition, therefore the monopoly can decide on the quantity supplied and on the price of the products (usually establishing a much higher one that if there was competition). Such a situation is harmful for consumers. They purchase products at a higher price and with lower quality because, as there is no competition, producers are not forced to continuously develop and improve their products. This is why goverment intervenes, trying to soften the situation by decreasing the profits of the monopolists and increasing the welfare of consumers, and the social welfare.

Which statement concerning cigarette smoking is TRUE? a. Authoritative parenting tends to increase the risk of teen smoking. b.
alexira [117]

The true statement here is :

c. Teens will tend to start smoking if they believe that it is okay to smoke

Explanation:

The rest of the statements here have amounts of truth in them too. IT is seen that authoritative environments lead children to rebel and become smokers but it is no way the only way people start smoking.

The age for smoking varies too from culture to culture. IT is usually in the age that kids start going out frequently that they start to smoke.

Lastly it is to be seen if the culture that the children live in actually recognizes smoking as legitimate or part of the culture, then they have a high chance of becoming smokers.
