The elements of performance are the following: A well-stated purpose for the job at hand, a good plan, the establishment of the goals to be accomplished, organization of tasks, constant monitoring of the tasks, and the evaluation process.  

It is important for learners to understand them because they going to have to work under these elements in the workplace. That is how things are done in management. We can effectively use this knowledge in the classroom to accomplish things such as homework and final presentations.
