Jocelyn desires to increase both her protein consumption and caloric intake. She desires to have at least 35 more grams of prote

in each day and no more than an additional 200 calories daily. An ounce of cheddar cheese has 7 grams of protein and 110 calories. An ounce of parmesan cheese has 11 grams of protein and 22 calories. Could she eat 1 ounce of cheddar cheese and 3 ounces of parmesan cheese?

Answer: yes let her eat and enjoy

Step-by-step explanation: an ounce of cheddar cheese has

7g of protein and 110 calories

3 ounces parmesan cheese has

3x11g of protein and 3x22 calories

=33g of protein and 66 calories

So 33+7=40g of protein which is okay fro her

66+110=176 calories which is still within limits

Yes, she could. By eating 1 ounce of cheddar cheese and 3 ounces of Parmesan cheese, she would be consuming 40 grams of protein and 176 calories.

Clara created the poster shown below:
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

length=4\ cm\\width=6\ cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the rectangular poster shown in the picture, you know that its dimensions (its width and its lenght) are:

w_1=24\ cm\\l_1=16\ cm

In order to calculate the dimensions of the rectangular  at \frac{1}{4} times its current size, you need to multiply the original lenght by \frac{1}{4} and multiply the original width by \frac{1}{4}.

Knowing this, you get:

w_2=w_1\frac{1}{4}\\\\w_2=(24\ cm)(\frac{1}{4})\\\\w_2=6\ cm\\\\\\l_2=l_1\frac{1}{4}\\\\l_2=(16\ cm)(\frac{1}{4})\\\\l_2=4\ cm

How to solve transformation problems in math
Molodets [167]
In this section we are going to see how knowledge of some fairly simple graphs can help us graph some more complicated graphs. Collectively the methods we’re going to be looking at in this section are called transformations.

Vertical Shifts
The first transformation we’ll look at is a vertical shift.

The recommended angle for a firefighting ladder is 75 degrees. When a 110-foot ladder is put up against a building at this angle
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer: 114.37 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

If we model this situation as a right triangle, where the hypotenuse is the length of the ladder (110 ft), the opposite leg is the height the ladder will reach h, and the adjacent leg is the distance between the base of the ladder and the building (28 ft); we have two options:

1) Using trigonometric functions, since we are given the angle \theta=75\°

2) Using the Pithagorean Theorem

Any of the options will give a similiar result. So, let's choose the Pithagorean Theorem:

(hypotenuse)^{2}=(opposite-leg)^{2}+(adjacent-leg)^{2}

(110 ft)^{2}=(h)^{2}+(28 ft)^{2}

Isolating h:

h=\sqrt{(110 ft)^{2}-(28 ft)^{2}}

h=106.37 ft

Adding to this height the extra height of 8 ft (since the base of the ladder is at this distance above the ground, perhaps held by a firefighter truck):

h=106.37 ft+8 ft=114.37 ft This is the height the ladder will reach
