If you received a 5% raise and your final paycheck was 100(which includes your 5% raise), how much was your original paycheck?

so you were earning say "x", so "x" is the 100% of  your paycheck.

but you're da bomb and so you got a raise of 5%, so the new amount of your paycheck is 100% + 5%, so is 105% really, and we happen to know that is $100.

\bf \begin{array}{ccll} \$&\%\\ \cline{1-2} 100&105\\ x&100 \end{array}\implies \cfrac{100}{x}=\cfrac{105}{100}\implies 10000=105x \\\\\\ \cfrac{10000}{105}=x\implies 95.238\approx x

The area is 21cm squared. u would have to find the length of the bottom triangle which is 14. than multiply that by the height which is 3. finally divide that all by 2 and youll get the area

James has noticed that the number of new tree branches that have grown on a tree in his backyard each year follows the sequence
eduard

Notice that the pattern is "previous term plus 2".  This is an arithmetic sequence where the difference (d) equals +2

a_{n} = a₁ + d(n - 1)   ; where a₁ is the first term, d is the difference, and n is the term.

f(n) = 1 + 2(n - 1)

f(n) = 1 + 2n - 2

f(n) = 2n - 1

********************************

f(10) = 2(10) - 1

f(10) = 20 - 1

f(10) = 19

Pls help me for brainliest answer
Ket [755]

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

a)3n + 4 \\ \\n = 1 \\ 3 \times 1 + 4 \\ 3 + 4 \\ =7 \\ \\ n = 2 \\ 3 \times 2 + 4 \\ 6 + 4 \\ = 10 \\ \\ n = 3 \\ 3 \times 3 + 4 \\ 9 + 4 \\ = 13 \\ \\ n = 4 \\ 3 \times 4 + 4 \\ 12 + 4 \\ = 16 \\ \\ n = 10 \\ 3 \times 10 + 4 \\ 30 + 4 \\ = 34 \\

So in this sequence,

1st term = 7

2nd term = 10

3rd term = 13

4th term = 16

10th term = 34

b)4n - 5 \\ \\ n = 1 \\ 4 \times 1 - 5 \\ 4 - 5 \\ = - 1 \\ \\ n = 2 \\ 4 \times 2 - 5 \\ 8 - 5 \\ = 3 \\ \\ n = 3 \\ 4 \times 3 - 5 \\ 12 - 5 \\ = 7 \\ \\ n = 4 \\ 4 \times 4 - 5 \\ 16- 5 \\ = 11 \\ \\ n = 10 \\ 4 \times 10 - 5 \\ 40 - 5 \\ = 35

In this sequence,

1st term = -1

2nd term = 3

3rd term = 7

4th term = 11

10th term =35
