Well the length is 50 meters and width is 20 meters. Therefore the area of the rectangle is 1,000 meters squared. The ratio of the area to the width is 50:1. For problem 2, the perimeter is doubled to 560 meters, and the area is quadrupled to 4,000 meters. So the ratio of increased perimeter to the area is 1:2.
