Does anyone know how to solve a system of linear equations using elimination? I am having a hard time on how to do it for differ
Mariana [72]
1. Multiply each equation so they end up with the same coefficient

2. Subtract your second equation from the first

3. Solve for one of the variables (I tend to solve an equation that only contains 2 variables if possible. So it would be if you have one question with x and y, solve for the easier one)

4. Substitute the variable you found in the least step into one of the other equations and find a second variable.

5. Substitute both variables you found into the last equation and there you should be left with x, y, and z :))

I hope this helped sksjsk if it didn’t I could write it out to hopefully help more :)

Pn=1/3pn-1 and p4=108 , then p6= ? please show steps
Natali5045456 [20]
p_n=\dfrac13p_{n-1}
\implies p_n=\dfrac13\left(\dfrac13p_{n-2}\right)=\dfrac1{3^2}p_{n-2}
\implies p_n=\dfrac13\left(\dfrac13p_{n-3}\right)=\dfrac1{3^3}p_{n-3}

and so on, up to

p_n=\dfrac1{3^{n-4}}p_4=\dfrac{108}{3^{n-4}}

which means

p_6=\dfrac{108}{3^{6-4}}=\dfrac{108}9=12

East black horse $0.25 total budget is $555 it'll cost $115 for other supplies about how many flyers do you think we can buy
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

You can buy 1760 flyers.

Step-by-step explanation:

You will have to take away $115 from your total budget of $555.

$555-$115=$440

If each flyer costs $0.25 than the total amount of flyers that are able to be purchased are 1760.

440/0.25=1760

14.1 cm
worty [1.4K]

Based on the dimensions of the regular pentagon, the approximate area can be found to be 342 cm².

<h3>How to solve for approximate area?</h3>

The area of the pentagon can be found by the formula:

= 5 x 1/2 x Length of pentagon x apothem of pentagon

The apothem is:

= √(12² - (14.1/2)²)

= 9.7

The approximate area of the pentagon is therefore:

= 5 x 1/2 x 14.1 x 9.7

= 342 cm²
