Answer:

The cash flow to stockholders amounts to $45

Explanation:

Cash flow to stockholders is the term which is defined as the cash amount which the company pays out to the shareholders.

The cash flow to stockholders is computed as:

Cash flow to stockholders = Dividend paid - New equity raised

where

Dividend paid is computed as:

Dividend paid = Net Income × %

= $360 × 35%

= $126

New equity raised is $81

So, putting the values above:

Cash flow to stockholders = $126 - $81

Cash flow to stockholders = $45

Walters manufactures a specialty food product that can currently be sold for $21.20 per unit and has 19,200 units on hand. Alter
sdas [7]

Answer:

$37,760

Explanation:

The income for the current operation, without further processing, is given by:

I_1 = 19,200*\$21.20\\I_1=\$407,040

If the product is further processed at a cost of $11,200, the company would sell 11,200 units at $31,80 each and 5,200 at $19.20 each, for an income of:

I_2= 11,200*\$31.80+5,200*\$19.20-\$11,200\\I_2=\$444,800

Therefore, the incremental net income of processing further would be:

\Delta I=I_2-I_1=\$444,800-\$407,040\\\Delta I=\$37,760

The incremental net income would be $37,760.

Murray Motor Company wants you to calculate its cost of common stock. During the next 12 months, the company expects to pay divi
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

a. Compute the cost of retained earnings (Ke)

$60 = $3 / (Ke - 8%)

Ke - 8% = $3 / $60 = 5%

Ke = 13%

b. If a $5 flotation cost is involved, compute the cost of new common stock (Kn).

$60 (1 - $5/$60) = $3 / (Kn - 8%)

$55 = $3 / (Kn - 8%)

Kn - 8% = $3 / $55 = 5.45%

Kn = 13.45%

Flotation costs reduce the amount of money that the company receives for every new stock that it issues, therefore, it increases the cost of new stocks.

I am trying to understand the Opportunity cost. Can anyone help me please? I can't seem to get Economics, I really need help. Yo
sesenic [268]
<span>Basically "Opportunity cost" is what you're going to lose (or have a potential to lose) if you chose a different action than what you're presented with. In the example, you're working for $15 an hour, but if you decide instead to skip a pratrice to go to the fair you're losing out of the $15 an hour you'll be paid and have to pay $9 to go to the fair. All total, you're opportunity costs for that will be $24 (fifteen you would have made plus the nine dollar fee.) This is also assuming, of course, they don't fire/dock you for just skipping work.</span>
