In electromagnetism, absolute permittivity, often simply called permittivity, usually denoted by the Greek letter ε (epsilon), is the measure of capacitance that is encountered when forming an electric field in a particular medium. More specifically, permittivity describes the amount of charge needed to generate one unit of electric flux in a given medium. A charge will yield more electric flux in a medium with low permittivity than in a medium with high permittivity. Permittivity is the measure of a material's ability to store an electric field in the polarization of the medium.

▪️The SI unit for permittivity is farad per meter (F/m or F·m−1).

The lowest possible permittivity is that of a vacuum.[citation needed] Vacuum permittivity, sometimes called the electric constant, is represented by ε0 and has a value of approximately 8.85×10−12 F⋅m−1.

The permittivity of a dielectric medium is often represented by the ratio of its absolute permittivity to the electric constant. This dimensionless quantity is called the medium's relative permittivity, sometimes also called "permittivity". Relative permittivity is also commonly referred to as the dielectric constant, a term which has been deprecated in physics and engineering[1] as well as in chemistry.[2]

By definition, a perfect vacuum has a relative permittivity of exactly 1. The difference in permittivity between a vacuum and air can often be considered negligible, as κair = 1.0006.
Relative permittivity is directly related to electric susceptibility (χ), which is a measure of how easily a dielectric polarizes in response to an electric field.

Answer:

graph B

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

3y - 5x < - 6

Since the inequality is < then the line must be broken

If ≤ then line would be solid

The only possible graphs are B and D

Choose a test point in the shaded region of each graph and check validity

graph B (2, 0) ← substitute into left side of inequality

0 - 5(2) = 0 - 10 = - 10 < - 6 ← this is valid

graph D (0, 0 ) ← substitute into left side of inequality

0 - 0 = 0 > - 6 ← this is not valid

Hence graph B is the correct graph

A woman is 5 1⁄7 inches taller than her daughter. The woman is 66 1⁄7 inches tall. How tall is her daughter?
Svet_ta [14]
To make the problem easier, I’m going to convert these to improper fractions.
A woman is 36/7 inches taller and she’s 463/7 inches tall. Her daughter is (463/7) - (36/7) inches tall. 463-36 is 427. She is 427/7 inches tall or 61 inches tall.

The recommended storage temperature for a certain type of squash is 10°C to 13°C. Which inequality
noname [10]

Answer:

The simultaneous inequation representing the recomended storage temperature is:

50\,^{\circ}F \leq T \leq 55.4\,^{\circ}F

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case, the statement must be represented mathematically by a simultaneous inequation, in which temperature must be equal to or greater than 10 ºC, expressed in Fahreheit degrees, and equal or less than 13 ºC, expressed in Fahrenheit degrees.

Bounds can be converted into Fahrenheit degrees from Celsius degrees:

T_{F} = \frac{9}{5} \cdot T_{C}+32\,^{\circ}F (Eq. 1)

Where:

T_{C} - Temperature, measured in Celsius degrees.

T_{F} - Temperature, measured in Fahrenheit degrees.

Lower bound (T_{C} = 10\,^{\circ}C)

T_{F} = \frac{9}{5}\cdot (10\,^{\circ}C) + 32\,^{\circ}F

T_{F} = 50\,^{\circ}F

Upper bound (T_{C} = 13\,^{\circ}C)

T_{F} = \frac{9}{5}\cdot (13\,^{\circ}C) + 32\,^{\circ}F

T_{F} = 55.4\,^{\circ}F

The simultaneous inequation representing the recomended storage temperature is:

50\,^{\circ}F \leq T \leq 55.4\,^{\circ}F

The markup of a computer is $3,237.50. The markup rate is 75%. What is the selling price?
Kaylis [27]

The applicable relation is

... selling price = cost + markup

You have not said what the base is for the markup percentage. If markup is 75% of the cost, then we have

... markup = 0.75×cost

... cost = markup/0.75 = 3237.50/0.75 = 4316.67

Then the selling price is

... selling price = $4316.67 +$3237.50 = $7,554.17

_____

If the markup is 75% of the selling price, then we have

... markup = 0.75×selling price

... selling price = markup/0.75 = $3237.50/0.75 = $4,316.67
