Answer:

Mr K purchased 6 chicken sandwiches and 6 pizza slices.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Mr. K purchased number of chicken sandwiches = x

and number of pizza slices = y

Since total number of dancers = 12

then the equation will be

x + y = 12 --------(1)

Mr K. spent total amount = $72

Therefore, equation to purchase x sandwiches, y pizza slices and 12 drinks will be

6x + 3y + 1.5×(12) = 72

6x + 3y + 18 = 72

6x + 3y = 54

2x + y = 18 -------(2)

We subtract equation (1) from (2)

(2x + y) - (x + y) = 18 - 12

x = 6

from equation (1)

6 + y = 12

y = 6

Therefore, Mr K purchase 6 chicken sandwiches, 6 pizza slices.

pink ribbon = </span>4 \frac{6}{12} \;feet
purple ribbon = 2 \frac{4}{12} \;feet

<span>How much ribbon does kate have in all?
pink ribbon + purple ribbon

Solving:
</span>4\frac{6}{12} + 2\frac{4}{12} =  \frac{12*4+6}{12} + \frac{12*2+4}{12} =  \frac{48+6}{12} + \frac{24+4}{12} =  \frac{54}{12} + \frac{28}{12} =  \frac{82}{12} =
