Answer:

<h2>X=9</h2>

Solution,

AB=(perpendicular)=X

AC(hypotenuse)=X+6

CB(Base)=13

Using Pythagoras theorem,

{h}^{2}  =  {p}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  \\  {(x + 6)}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {(12)}^{2}  \\  {x}^{2}  + 12x + 36 =  {x}^{2}  + 144 \\ 12x + 36 = 144 \\ 12x = 144 - 36 \\ 12x = 108 \\ x =  \frac{108}{12}  \\ x = 9

Hope this helps...

Good luck on your assignment...

Answer:

The answer is x = 9

We use Pythagoras theorem to form the equation and solve for x

That's

a² = b² + c²

where a is the hypotenuse

we get

(x + 6)² = 12² + x²

Expand

x² + 12x + 36 = 144 + x²

Group like terms

We have

x² - x ² + 12x = 144 - 36

12x = 108

Divide both sides by 9

That's

12x/12 = 108/12

x = 9

Hope this helps you.

F(x) = x2 – 3x + 5 g(x) = V22 – 2x Calculate g (f (1)).
erik [133]

Step-by-step explanation:

So first of all we plug in 1 into f(x) and the result of that into g(x).

f(1)=(1)^2-3(1)+5

=1-3+5

=3

g(3)=(3)(22)-2(3)

=66-6

=60

i am aware that this question uses second ftc, however, i keep getting the wrong answer. any guidance is appreciated.
Gnesinka [82]

Answer:

C. 14

Step-by-step explanation:

F(x) = ∫₀²ˣ √(t³−15) dt

Use second fundamental theorem of calculus:

F'(x) = √((2x)³−15) d/dx (2x)

F'(x) = 2 √(8x³−15)

Evaluate at x=2:

F'(2) = 2 √(8×2³−15)

F'(2) = 2 √(64−15)

F'(2) = 2 √49

F'(2) = 14
