The correct answer is B. Musculoskeletal disorders are a side effect of using statin drugs.

Explanation:

Statin drugs are commonly used to treat diseases related to the circulatory system as statin drugs act by reducing cholesterol levels, due to this, its use is recommended to treat or prevent diseases such as coronary heart disease. However, these medicines have been related to side effects that include an increased risk of diabetes and musculoskeletal disorders. In the case of musculoskeletal disorders, it has been found in people taking statin drugs have higher odds of developing this type of disorder that involves pain or weakness in muscles, tendons, joints, and similar. Thus, musculoskeletal disorders are related to stating drugs because these disorders are side effects of statin drugs.

Are mushrooms drugs? How do people take them? Can they be harmful? If they are, give examples of what mushrooms can do to people
olasank [31]
Hello,

Are mushrooms drugs?:
There is a mushroom drug, Magic Mushrooms or <span>Psilocybin mushroom. Not all mushrooms are drugs (I think.)
</span>
<span>How do people take them?:
</span>For the Psilocybin mushroom, people boil it for 20 minutes and drink the liquid. The effects will cause the user to trip and "<span>actually free the mind."
</span>Several small studies have linked the psychoactive ingredient in shrooms (which are illegal) with several purported health benefits, including the potential to help relieve anxiety and depression.
The therapeutic and spiritual uses of the mushrooms are what make it such an important tool for growth and healing.

Can they be harmful?: <span>But, as with any drug, shrooms also come with risks. This kind of mushroom doesn't have any accepted medical use. And it is pretty hard for scientists to tell what exactly these mushrooms can do and can't do.

Compare the distribution of ion channels along unmyelinated versus myelinated axons and explain how this accounts for the differ
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

Myelinated Axons; leak channels are insulated by myelin leading to less loss of current flow and better conduction velocity. Ion channels omly located at nodes of ranvier; thus signal has sultatory conduction along myelin sheaths and jumps and move much quicker

Demyelinating diseases; along locations where myelin sheaths once was current links occur and conduction slows, the signal cannot make it very far because it looses energy as it travels through the axon

Unmyelinated axon; Ion channels are sequentially placed all along axons; thus it takes longer to send signal down axon. the energy isn't leaked out, it still contains the same signal but it is simply slower. distance between voltage gated channels needs to be small enough so local current flow can depolarize the membrane.

N/B; Harder to generate action potential in demyelinating disease

axon diameter( bigger diameter= less resistance= faster current).
