<u>Answer:</u>

The two estimates that the quotient is between is 500 and 600

<u>Solution: </u>

Compatible numbers are those that are friendly with one another when we do mental calculation to estimate the product especially division. Some examples are 500 and 10, 36 and 6, 64 and 8, and 2400 and 12.

The compatible numbers are the numbers that are close to the number that needs to be divide and also should be divisible by the other number,

In this case, the numbers near to 1624 are 1500 and 1800

So, \left(\frac{1500}{3}\right)=500 \text { and }\left(\frac{1800}{3}\right)=600

Therefore, the quotient will be between 500 and 600.

Drag steps of the solution into order to solve for x in the equation 9(x + 3) = 108.
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

Given expression is,

9(x+3) = 108

In solving the equation the steps are as follows,

Step 1 : 9x + 27 = 108      ( By distributive property )

Step 2 : 9x = 81               ( Subtracting 108 on both sides )

Step 3 : x = 9                   ( Divide both sides by 9)

Hence, by the above explanation we can drag the steps of solution in correct order.

Pyramid Surface Area = (½ * Perimeter of Base * Slant Height) + Base Area

Base perimeter = 4 * 18 = 72 inches
Base Area = 18*18 = 324 square inches

Pyramid Surface Area = (.5 * 72 * 12) + 324
Pyramid Surface Area = 432 + 324
Pyramid Surface Area = 756 square inches
