PLEASE HELP!!
Nuetrik [128]

For this you have to make two proportions that are \frac{part}{whole} and set them equal to each other.

The first proportion represents the percent of people who like silver as their favorite car color

Since this is a circle graph the whole will always be 100 because percents are always taken out of 100

The part would be 10 because only 10% out of the 100% like silver

The second proportion is the people that represent the response.

350 would be the whole because that is the total amount of people surveyed

The part is unknown and what you are solving for.

Here is how the proportion should look like:

\frac{10}{100} = \frac{x}{350}

Cross multiply (If you don't know what this is look at the image below to see my work)

The cross multiplication will give you:

3500 = 100x

Isolate x by dividing 100 to both sides

3500/100 = 100x/100

35 = x

This means that 35 people out of the 350 surveyed like silver cars

Hope this helped!

Based on historical data, your manager believes that 39% of the company's orders come from first-time customers. A random sample
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

z= \frac{0.21- 0.39}{0.0373}= -4.829

z= \frac{0.32- 0.39}{0.0373}=-1.877

And we can find the probability with this difference:

P(-4.829

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we have the following info given:

n = 171 represent the sample size

p =0.39 the proportion of interest

We want to find the following probability:

P( 0.21 < \hat p < 0.32)

We can use the normal approximation for this case since np >10 and n (1-p) >10

For this case we know that the distribution for the sample proportion is given by:

\hat p \sim N( p , \sqrt{\frac{p (1-p)}{n}} )

And we can use the following parameters:

\mu_{\hat p}= 0.39

\sigma_{\hat p} =\sqrt{\frac{0.39*(1-0.39)}{171}}= 0.0373

And we can apply the z score formula given by:

z = \frac{p \\mu_{\hat p}}{\sigma_{\hat p}}

And using this formula we got:

z= \frac{0.21- 0.39}{0.0373}= -4.829

z= \frac{0.32- 0.39}{0.0373}=-1.877

And we can find the probability with this difference:

P(-4.829

What is the area of a trapezoid that has bases measuring 19 centimeters and 23 centimeters and a eight of 14 centimeters?Whats t
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

294 cm^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

A = \frac{h}{2} (a+b)    where A = area, h = height and a and b are the lngths of the 2 bases.

So A =  \frac{14}{2} (19+23)

= 7*42

= 294 cm^2.
