I hope the total collection was 101.25 "rupees". If not I think you will, still be able to find an answer of your question based on this following solution.

Let's assume the number of students in the class be x.

Given that, each student of a class contributed as many 5 paise or 0.05 rupee as the number of students in the class.

So, each students contibuted 0.05x.

So, Number of students * each students contribution = Total contribution.

x * 0.05x = 101.25

0.05x²= 101.25

\frac{0.05x^2}{0.05} =\frac{101.25}{0.05} Divide each sides by 0.05.

x² = 2025

x=\sqrt{2025}

So, x = 45

So, there are 45 students in the class.

Hope this helps!

A spinner is divided into four equal sections that are numbered 2, 4, 7, and 9. The spinner is spun twice.How many outcomes have
shusha [124]

The spinner is divided into four equal sections: 2, 4, 7, 9. This represents 4 possibilities

If the spinner is spun twice, the sample space is:

\text{Sample space = 4}^2\text{ = 16}

For product less than 30, the number of outcomes is shown below:

The number of outcomes that have a product less than 30 = 10

The sample space that shows possibilities of an odd number combination:

The number of outcomes that contains at least one odd number = 12

The number of outcomes that have a product less than 30 and contain at least one odd number is shown below. These outcomes are outcomes circled in both cases shown above,

The outcomes circled represents the number of outcomes that has a product less than 30 and contains at least one odd number

16 because 48/3 = 16 and we know that he started with 50 chocolates then distributed 3 times the number of friends present. This is written as 50 - 3x. We also know that there were 2 chocolates left so -3x = 2 - 50 which when simplified is x = 48/3 which equals 16.
